Founded in 2017, Ak’kin Footwear was born with just a pair of boots and a story full of
heart, and a powerful family story. Ak’kin Footwear was born out of deep respect for
those who rise early, work hard, and give their all from sunrise to sunset. Our founder
grew up watching his father leave home at sunrise to work the fields—day after day,
boots on, spirit strong, heart full. But those boots rarely held up to the grind. 

That memory lives at the core of everything we do.

That’s why Ak’kin exists today: to make sure every worker has the footwear and gear
they truly deserve.

Our name, Ak’kin, honors the Mayan god of the sun—a tribute to both the
hardworking people who give their energy from dawn to dusk and the sun itself, which
gives us life, food, and strength. Every product we offer is a reflection of that same
energy, commitment, and purpose. We believe every job deserves the right gear, and
every worker deserves to feel proud of the story they’re walking in.
